An affirmation of value

Tufts, one of the vet schools I sent my GRE scores to, sent me an application!  I feel wanted.  My vet school applications are roughly half done; it actually didn't take that long once I sat down and focused.

Bug collecting nets got distributed on Thursday.  24 of us with big-ass butterfly nets were running around in front of the cafeteria flailing at everything that moved.  Mass hysteria quickly claimed the streets.  It turns out that my roommate Woo likes collecting bugs and actually took my net out for some collecting.  I was laughing histerically as he was running after dragonflies and swinging wildly as they floated tauntingly out of reach.

Williamsburg got hit by Tropical Storm Hannah on Friday night and Saturday.  Such a wimpy storm really; it was beautiful on Friday morning and Saturday night.  Looks like Hurricane Ike is gonna miss us and hit Miami.  No Hurrication this year.

I went to the gym yesterday and tonight.  Afterwards, I was walking home when a beautiful Sufjan Stevens song came on my iPod.   The orange light from the streetlamps, the song, my drink, and my exercise high combined to create strong feeling of bliss and well-being.  It weirded me out in a good way because I haven't felt that level of happiness at school in a long time.

Also, I think a couple of girls at the gym were checking out my smoking hot body.  Maybe I'm wanted in more ways than one.
