Another Gloooorious Morning...Makes Me SICK!

Nov 11, 2005 13:16

It is a beautiful day, an excellent capstone to a better-than-average week. Despite sleeping through initiation (which I hear didn't start until 4am) and having strange and all-too-realistic dreams (a sampler: I was about to hook up with long lost Santa Barbara superstud Jeremy in some futuristic Frank Lloyd Wright-meets-Chris van Allsburg house when I realized I couldn't breathe without sounding like I was snoring, which was not only a bit of a turnoff but also embarassing in that I was probably lying face down on the bed half naked snoring loudly enough for my subconscious to hear), this has been what I would call a successful, drama-free week. I accomplished a lot on my to-do list, worked four of five days (an office that I, sadly, inhabit at the moment), got my credit limit extended and started earning rewards, had lunch at Galen with Alecia where we made fun of Matt Leinart's hugeness and impatience for Diet Coke, went to Traddy's for my first time with Jesse, Nicole, John, B.Fong, Amy, Dina, Lindsay and others, and had a rollicking good time with Melissa Sears last night after Maltin's class when we taxied up to Fu's Palace for some sake bombs, my first kamikaze shot and some hot dancing with the Delts in celebration of absolutely nothing. Last minute invites are always the best! OK, so Tim got sick and Mike and Steve got into a tiff but not to worry...all will be well. Eventually. As they say in Zathura, the game pieces always reset after the game is over.
.
(Speaking of which, although I enjoyed Zathura, there are some MAJOR confusing time-travel plot aspects that even my mind can't wrap around. J.K. Rowling seems to be the only mind who has mastered time travel in a children's story so far...no spoilers here but I'm still trying to figure that out. It makes for some hilarious one-liners though.)
.
How much did my knees buckle when I passed the bookstore's 70% off sale in front of Commons? You know where I'll be at 2:00 when I get off work.
.
I find it a bit miffing when I read journals of people I happen to know are having fabulous sex and there is no trace of story, smugness, glee, sexual superiority or even satisfaction in them. I think that with the privilege of having hot sex comes the responsibility to at least allude to it somehow in one's conversation or daily writing. Out of respect for the celibate among us, naturally.
.
On that note, I haven't had, well, certain natural urges in a while. Is it too early to go through menopause? I think it's hearing all the DWAMA people have with men and realizing there are many other things I can put my mind (and other things) on. Now if only I could get rid of this virus on my computer...or get rid of the computer...
