Gibson Dunn's site is simple, clean, striking.  Paul Hastings' site is complex, colorful, visual.  GD looks like a newspaper.  PH looks like a pamphlet.  GD is black and white with a miniscule amount of red.  PH is a horrible combination ( Read more... )

Paul Hastings is hiring a web applications developer (emphasis on ASP.NET) and a not-yet-posted business analyst.  The latter would be responsible for producing the bulk of our technical documentation, focusing on business requirements and how we can improve our processes.  Development skills would be a plus there, too, I think.

Got exhausted last night trying to figure out what was causing our elliptical to squeak when being used at a slow pace.  The noise didn't bug me much, but it was already driving cozmolution batty, and the resulting unscrewing, unbolting, and general taking-apartedness really drove me up a big bad ugly wall.  Only recourse was to sleep ( Read more... )

Tried to load Gaim on to my computer at work yesterday, but once I had it running, it couldn't connect to the Internet. Guess the Firm is like a lot of big corporations these days, in that they're blocking IM tools' access to the Web for security reasons.
