Lina Inverse (Slayers): She is AMAZING! I mean, yes she is a total BAMF, and she is hilariously sensitive regarding her reputation and her figure, but the thing that I really like about her is the fact that she has confidence in herself and her abilities, while still able to recognize when she gets in over her head, which in the grand scheme of things isn't really that often.
Long (Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger): Lord do I love to loathe this bastard, and given that he is the Big Bad of his series, that's a very good thing to feel. Seriously, rarely do we get to see such extensive hands on manipulation in action, rather then just getting told about it, and the fact that his driving motivation is boredom as a result of being an invincible immortal with nothing to balance him out is just all kinds of fun.
Lola (One Piece): A minor character in the Thriller Bark arc, she starts off as a standard issue Abhorrent Admirer whose role is to emasculate and humiliate a male character. However, unlike in the standard case of the trope, the man is a horrid bastard of a bastard and Lola herself is sympathetic and ultimately becomes a good friend to the heroes. Also, it is likely that her mother is a major power player that our heroes are likely to run into, so this one time encounter may yet have more consequences down the line.
Lyon (Suikoden V): Loyal and devoted bodyguard to the prince of the Queendom of Falenas, she is just marvelous to me. Orphaned at a very, very young age, she is taken in by the Nether Gate assassins guild and brought up to be a killer, until the guild is dissolved and she is taken in by Ferid, champion and husband to Queen Arshtat, and assigned to protect the young prince. And she does a very, very good job of that, and their bond is a wonder to behold throughout the game.
Luka Millfy (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger): Oh hai there live action version of Nami! Only instead of weather manipulating staff, you have twin swords that you can whip around on hooks like Kratos from God of War, or connect together to pull a Darth Maul. Also, brilliant at misdirection. This show is currently ongoing, and I really look forward to them fleshing out more of her backstory, to see how accurate my suppositions really are.
