Dear Southerners (and, hi, flist, hi!)

Yep, that's white stuff coming out of the sky. No, you shouldn't drive anywhere tonight -- because lord knows we don't know how to salt the roads beforehand down here in Alabama, and we're still a little hazy about sanding afterward.

Love,

Your Apparently (Quasi-)Yankee Friend

Actually, there hasn't been much snow here, mostly just the tinkle of freezing rain. I swear it was snowing, sleeting, and raining all at the same time this afternoon.

It's been a good day to be inside, curled up on the couch alternately working on my syllabi (omg, school again on Wednesday!) and watching 30 Rock (end of season 3) and Slings and Arrows (seasons 1 & 2). Tina Fey continues to be my hero, which I'm sure you won't find all that weird -- but I'm almost certain it's not normal that I find Paul Gross really hot when he's playing an unkempt, flaily, frustrated, batshit-crazy theater director.

I've been knitting all afternoon (working on a pair of socks), but something tells me I need to make a winter music mix of some sort...

fandom: 30 rock, life in the south, apparently canadians can be hot too
