prelude

*sigh* In three day's time I'll be off to the east coast to perform in a musical concert. In case you don't know,(mea culpa-I am very reticent about mentioning what I do) I am a soprano soloist who works with various orchestras in the states and Europe. The performance that I have been preparing for is an all Mozart concert. I will be singing the motet, 'Exsultate, Jubilate' and a concert aria known as 'Vorrei spiegarvi, O Dio!'

*sound of crickets and tumblin' tumbleweeds mark time in the far off distance...*

Yep. That's why I don't mention it much. It often elicits that kind of response with most of the people I know. *giggles*

I'm actually quite looking forward to this performance. I've put in a lot of time and work at tackling these challenging and beautifully spectacular Mozart pieces and now I'm more than ready to make some awesome music with the other musicians of the orchestra.

I love the whole experience of the concert environment. All of these fine musicians coming together from different parts of the world to combine their skills and talents to make an ephemeral magic moment of sheer beauty...

I can't wait to make some music!!!

I promise to come back down to earth on Sunday, okay?
