Bring on the snark!

I actually got out to see The Island tonight. Amazing, a movie, on a weeknight, I know, but on with the snark. Now the movie is not horrible, or even bad, but some parts of it... at one point, I had to remind myself that I should be snarking at least in wispers, not in a normal voice. Now, I did like the premise of the movie, it provided a good backbone, and ideas to contemplate in the world that we live in today. But I just could not help laughing at some parts, like when Ewan's character went to shut down the power generator....errr, sorry turbines, and when product names took up a good half of the screen. Years in the future, and in a world of no branding somehow Aquafina, Apple, Mack, Cadillac, XBox and many others exist....Riiiight. Come on guys, we do want to see more than just chase sceens and action.
Now, I did love the two Ewans playing off each other, and how they slowly revealed the secrets of the movie, the stuggles of the various characters to deal with the situation, and how the Doctor slowly had become a monster, but still did not see it himself.
