About a month ago I started a course to become a Reiki Master through Civas. Its a home course with 3 initiations/practice days. The course is very well written and I'm happy with it so far. I take this course in combination with aura/chakra healing ( Read more... )

Thanks! You will know when the time is right for you to take a course in Reiki. I can surely recommend the course I'm taking.

The upside is that I can now give reiki and I need persons to practice on ;) Also: If you have patience I can be the one who actually initiate you in Reiki. This is still a while away now but it might be sooner then you think :)

Ooo! Practice on me! I bet I have lots of closed up chakras. ^_^

No, seriously - according to a reading I got once, I have trouble with my fourth and seventh chakra, (Although I don't know how far I can trust that reading)

You can fairly easily see for yourself. The chakras all correspond with a different area of your body and mind. Certain physical pains of discomfort you experience can be because your chakras are unbalanced. if you are interested to know, I can tell you what the 4th and the 7th chakra stands for.

Well the reading (an extensive online test, really ^^) says the following:

Hmmm.... I dont know if an online test is the way to go. However what you could try is to open the two chakras that need attention a little wider. Just visualise your chakras as flowers, for the 5th chakra a light blue one and for the 5th a violet or white one. Visualise that the flower opens its petals some more. If you do this your chakras will stop shutting themselves. However if you feel uncomfy in the days afterwards, it can be you have opened them up too much. You can simply close them a bit again in the same way.

You do need to practice on this bit though, so dont expect miracles the first time youre trying ;)

Thanks, I'll look into it!

When it comes to chakras, energy healing, or thinks like meditation I simply don't have the focus. My thoughts ALWAYS drift off - and believe me, I've tried. Meditation is *supposed* to clear your mind... but it's like I just can't get my thoughts to calm down.

The only thing that works is alcohol which is considerably less healthy than meditation XD

I have that too, meditating isnt easy. However I found that for me visualising is a lot more easier. You focus on one thing you want to achieve instead of just clearing your mind into nothingness ;)
