Sunday News

Today I'm going to be talking about yesterday, because I spent the entire day watching tv, vacuuming, watching movies and sitting in front of the tv. In that order.

Anyway, I take it Sunday was Killer Shark/Mutant Fish day?

Right. Starting off with Shark Attack 2. Don't even bother. The most interesting point in this movie was in the opening credits, when "Directed by David Worth" appeared and I starting thinking about Cube. Also, does Dr. Nick Harris ever stop smiling? And the sex scene in his pool? I kept waiting for a shark to jump out from somewhere but then I remembered it was a pool. Of course, next was -

Shark Attack 3: Megalodon!!! Dun-dun-da!

No means no!!

First of all, the shark chat/forum thing made me cry. I'm not even close to a real web designer and it made me cry. Also, what was with the freeze frame at the end of the sex scene? Um... and then fading into the sunrise? This movie had John Barrowman (Captain Jack, the Doctor Who one). But he was so awful. They all were. It just sucked. Even more than SA2.

What was next? Can't really remember, it was all so traumatic. At one point though, Frankenfish was on. Um. It tries to be cool and not-lame but takes itself way to seriously. It was, however, fairly interesting. My favourite scene was when Mary dies, no offense to her but it was an awesome death. And of course, the folowing quote:

DAN: The house shot her! This is insane!

Yeah. She gets shot through the back of the head by an unmanned shotgun sitting on the burning porch of a houseboat a few meters away. It was awesome.

I loved/hated Dan. He was a bastard, but he was so cute when he was drunk :). So unless he was willing to be drunk all the time it wouldn't have worked between us.

Next of course, was Snakehead Terror. Featuring Walter!!! (Gary Jones) as a bad guy. Or an unwitting accomplice. Who ended up digging his own grave...

And a quote:

DEPUTY: Reese found a body.
SHERIFF: What kind of body?
DEPUTY: I think he means the dead kind.

Oh burn.

Then Shark Hunter was on but I didn't really see much of it. Only the ending, when I realized that, wow, everybody died. That's new.

other sci-fi, movies
