LDT.
And if I don’t make it
Know that I’ve loved you all along
Tony felt something break.
He rolled off the back of the car, hitting the pavement in a less than perfect imitation was what he was hoping for. He tried to lift himself up, but his arms buckled and his body crumpled, limbs not doing as they were told. Tony turned his head and the silence he had been suspended in gave way to a deafening hum began to envelop him. He managed to flop on to his back and the sound culminated, shifting back into an indistinguishable silence.
Colours began to fade. Tony watched the cold blue sky fade to gray and laughed. He choked instead, but couldn’t help it. This was just like a movie.

Just like sunny days that we ignore because
We’re all dumb and jaded
When Tony woke it was to what should have been the familiar smell of iodine and too-clean. There was a rumbled gray trench coat sitting in a chair in the corner of the room.
Tony told it to wake up.
McGee’s head appeared above the collar, his hair flattened on one side of his head. He mumbled something and turned in the chair.
Tony scored a small smile. "Ha."
"What?" McGee asked, already regretting it.
"How long have you been here?"
McGee’s brows furrowed. "Three days. Except when I left to take Abby home."
The smile grew. "I knew it."
McGee had a fully-fledged frown now, and was about to say something when Tony finished his point.
"You have no stubble."
McGee glared, and then gave up.
Tony sobered up and raised the bed up higher. "You look tired."
McGee dropped the glare and dropped his head back. "And you don’t look so great yourself."
"At least I have an excuse. Go home Tim."
McGee stared at him for a long moment, and then seemed to make up his mind. He stood and pushed the chair back into its place. "Do you want me to tell Abby to come in later?"
Tony nodded, "Thanks."
McGee fixed his collar and stuck his hands in his pockets. "And I’ll tell Ziva to stop worrying." He said with a small smile, before walking out the door.

And I hope to god I figure out what’s wrong
"You shouldn’t be here Tony."
"Nice welcome. What are you gonna do about it?" Tony said playfully, happy to be back at work.
McGee thought about that one for a minute. "Nothing. I’ll let Abby take care of you."
Tony’s eyes widened and his face paled, he stooped and scouted out both elevators, taking into account all the exits.
"She’s not here, Tony."
Tony straightened and glared at him. "Watch it Probie. I’ve been run over by a car and I could still take you."
McGee didn’t crack. "You should go home. It’s Saturday."
Tony blinked. "Oh. Then what are you doing here?"
I thought you might come here. "I’ve got some stuff to finish up," he said.
Tony sat down on the edge of his desk and stared at something across the room. McGee pretended to be working on something.
"Is it important?" Tony asked suddenly. McGee looked up but didn’t get a chance to answer before Tony said, "Because I’ve still got From Russia With Love from the rental place and..."
"You’ve had that for months Tony." McGee shut off his computer. Bond movies never get old.
