Why the Cynical Guide?
For a very long time (definitely more than since last Friday) , had an itch to share my infinite wisdom of survival in the corporate environment and telling the world all the truth about how things work (or more often do not work). :-)))) Since I have been too lazy to write a book (and even to start one) starting a blog seems to be the right way to go.
Surely it is difficult to add much value after all these thick books on organizational behaviour and all these Parkinson's Law, Peter's Principle and ubiquitous Murphy's Law. But will try to add from time to time to see how far I will be able to move and if my wisdom is indeed indefinite.
PS: In defense of Cynics, they were pretty decent and ethical folks (see eg wiki en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynics):
The ideal Cynic would evangelise; as the watchdog of humanity, it was their job to hound people about the error of their ways. The example of the Cynic's life (and the use of the Cynic's biting satire) would dig-up and expose the pretensions which lay at the root of everyday conventions.
