Given how much M and I love tabouli, it's sort of remarkable that it took me this long to make the tabouli salad recipe from Moosewood Favorites. It's quick, it's easy, it's credible tabouli that tasted good enough to me as someone who does not actually have a Lebanese grandmother.

I promised KJF ice cream when she came over for lunch before we went to the ballgame, so I made my first batch of homemade ice cream for the year. I turned to Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams at Home and made a batch of Black Walnut Divinity Ice Cream. I did not actually go the expense and effort of purchasing genuine Ohio black walnuts, but the normal everyday walnuts at the grocery store made a solid nut intensive ice cream that tasted great with chocolate syrup.

In other news, as prophesized, I unloaded the Ninja Cremi that I won in a raffle last summer. There just wasn't room in my house for a second ice cream maker that made subpar ice cream. I got $130 cash for it from a nice suburban lady on Facebook marketplace.
