4. New Brunswick

The fourth and final of the first four provinces to join the Confederation is New Brunswick. As of this writing, New Brunswick was the last province I added to my list, and the only province that is represented solely by a single solitary meal as I drove through it.

Even worse, I've already referenced this visit when I covered Nova Scotia. Basically, on the last full day of our Prince Edward Island trip in 2019, M and I drove from Prince Edward Island to Halifax via New Brunswick.

Our first stop in New Brunswick was the nature center Cape Jourimain right off the bridge. It's a very large and impressive nature center, but we didn't really have a chance to do many of the trails.

From there, we made sure to stop for lunch in a small town called Port Elgin so we could officially cross the province off. The tiny downtown of town was mostly vacant. We had lunch and continued on our way. I'm not sure we spent 3 hours total in New Brunswick between the two stops and the driving. It was Monday, September 23, 2019.

Unfortunately, I don't see much justification to return to New Brunswick, although if we go back to PEI or Nova Scotia we'll be in the area anyway in case I learn of a compelling reason.
