I was talking to
theferrett last night at a party about my book slush pile. Now, I don't typically buy books so I don't have a literal pile of books lying around (well, just a very small one), but I do have a large text file full of books that I mean to get around to. This makes it easy for me to add said books to my library hold list whenever I want, and if the day comes when I don't recognize something on the list I can just as easily delete it.
I've even recently reorganized it slightly so it's almost in a comprehensible order. Here it is, with annotations in italics. Some of these have been on here more than a decade, and probably I could cull quite a few more things, but why?
