I was originally going to give
Alabama full credit, but I ended up downgrading it for the same reason that
Maryland was downgraded: all of my time in the state was spent in a car. Those who've been paying attention know that all of that time was spent passing through the state on two separate trips to
New Orleans, so all of that time was in a 1985 Honda Accord (second trip) or in a 15 passenger Ford Econoline van (first trip). We didn't spend the night there either time, and while it's certainly possible that we stopped for food somewhere along the line, I can't recall for sure. So partial credit it is.
A more interesting question would be what cultural attraction would convince me to return to the state to knock it into the full credit category. I'm sure there must be something, but I'm not into college football so that removes 95% of my Alabama knowledge. Maybe there's something space related in Huntsville? Or some major Civil War site? I'm coming up blank.
It's a nice easy drive from Atlanta, so if I find an excuse I can visit my sister and we can go. So tell me, why do I want to go to Alabama?
