So, I'm not so witty with my LJ post titles. :)
On the recent subject of "I know I haven't told everyone everything," here's a rundown of big events of the moment.
The biggest one is Mark and I possibly buying the house we're now renting. A couple of months ago, the landlords informed us that they want to sell the townhouse. Now, I've just moved twice in less than a year. I really don't want to again. And Mark hasn't lived in one place for more than a year at a time in a while. And this place...well, it works well for us.
But not wanting to move is not a good sole motivator to buy, as my mom pointed out. So we looked at other places in the area as well. And from what we can find, houses in our price range that are in better condition are quite small. (We could do it if we had to, but as we don't right now...) Houses in our price range that are about the same size are not in good condition. So assuming that the problems we know of in the house aren't huge problems, that there aren't any major problems that the home inspection discovers, and that the landlords accept our offer, we may own this house in not too long.
It'll make money tighter in the short term, but it's within our means and actually pretty exciting.
In other house news, people should totally come over and watch movie or something on our new TV. Especially once we get our PS3 back from Sony so we have Blueray on it - it's pretty! Good deal at Best Buy combined with bonus time - yay!
Dragon*Con dealer's room is still in "wait and see" mode, but I'm definitly going either way. And I'm starting to realize things I could do that I've never gotten a chance to if I don't have a table - like join in the parade! That could be fun. Oh hell, I *know* I'll have fun.
In other news, Mark and I are off to Florida this weekend to visit my family (minus the dog, who now gets grumpy about too much travel) and have the first night of Passover with my grandpartents. So, we'll have about a day and a half to actually spend in Florida, and we're going to be staying at a nice place apparantly. Must remember to pack my bathing suit tonight.
Sadly, this also means I'll miss
clodia927's wedding shower. :( I send my love and silly thoughts!
In random "I'm proud of myself" news, I biked to work on Tuesday! It took about an hour and 20 minutes, there were more hills than I realized, not everywhere had a sidewalk, and I'm not in the best shape, but I did it! I made it there, and made it home. Aside from a brief fall on my butt and a bruise on my shin I did pretty well. Plus, I remembered my "what to do after excersise" tricks from the hiking summer, and was barely sore the next day.
And a final note for those who read this who care about RPG stuff at all... I've created another game journal. Why another journal? Because sadly Deadjournal seems to have gone poof. It unfortunatly took with it my whole game journal from the crazy, convoluted Mage game Mark ran, but I had all of the notes from Hunter saved on my work compter. And considering everything that happened in the last game I had to post again! So if you want to read the craziness that is Morgan's life and undeath,
