There are a lot of really depressing YA books out there. Dystopians, dark paranormals... the world is coming to an end, zombies are ruling the planet, and people's faces are melting. Hooray!
There's nothing wrong with books like that. Obviously. But if you want to switch it up a bit, please consider the new ebook that I co-wrote with the awesomely talented author/agent
Mandy Hubbard. It's called GETTING CAUGHT! Here's a little bit about it:
Sometimes in war... there are no winners.
Peyton Brentwood is pretty, popular, and Harvard-bound. Or so she hopes. Her only distraction from AP classes and entrance exams is the prank war with her ex-best friend, Jess Hill. Peyton is used to getting what she wants, and she's not about to let a loser like Jess gain the upper hand.
For Jess, the prank war is an outlet, a way to get revenge on the best friend who left her behind. As if Peyton has the guts to do what it takes to win. Please. There is no way in hell Jess is going to lose this one, even if she has to hit Peyton where it hurts.
These two girls are about to discover it's best to keep your friends close... and your enemies closer.
Here's a funny story about when we were writing the book. Since it's told in alternating viewpoints, every other day, one of us would write one chapter and send it over to the other. We didn't have much of a plot at first, just a general idea of what we wanted to happen. I was at the office when I'd read Mandy's chapters, and sometimes they were so hilarious, particularly at the Harvard interview scene, that I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. I have never before done that reading anything. It was that funny.
Anyway, I hope you'll think so, too. You can download it right now for only $3.99 and let us know how you like it TODAY, because it's available on Amazon right this minute. Just run on over here:
