I've changed destinations.
AVAST! LARGE IMAGES AND LONG TEXT AHEAD.
EDITED! Now with video!
A flight on Friday afternoon to Caticlan from Angeles City. It was like a propeller plane. Really creepy. The blade was right outside my window. There was crazy turbulence the entire time. You got that sinking feeling in your stomach a few times. Like when you get on a roller-coaster? I felt really bad for Mirose, Princess, and Maureen. It was their first plane ride (all three!). I think they'd like a jet much better.
It's called Malay, but the highlighted part is Caticlan. That tiny little thing that looks like an arrow pointing towards Malay? That's Boracay.
The plane! A Dornier 328! (Stolen from Seair's website)
Did I mention all the security you had to go through to get on that plane? Three separate security checkpoints. One to get in the airport (just to get in through the door), one after you gave them your ticket and one right after that, where they checked your carry-on and patted you down.
Anyway, after we arrived there, we had special guys from the hotel come pick us up. They drove us in these motorized tricycle carts. I almost fell out. XP
Then this boat thing.
It had these long things at its side. You can sort of see it. Didn't get a good picture. ^^;
Pictures of the island? Of course!
It's beautiful here, no? They actually had these kids running around, selling jewelry. Like 6 year olds. I don't like to see kids that young working. v.v
Then a jeepney (a jeep thingy with NO DOORS in the back) ride on this bumpy road down to our hotel. I almost fell out again. XD
LOL Jeepney (I stole these from Wikipedia, never took a good photo of one)
When we arrived the hotel people were all ready for us. They gave us this mango drink as a welcome. Delicious.
Pictures? LOL
My papa's name
Delicious mango drink (from the left, Maureen, Princess, Mirose)
Right outside my hotel door.
Walkway in front of the hotel
Beach (right outside the hotel...again)
New Stuff!
Video? MAH HOTEL. LET ME SHOW YOU IT. (I sound like a 10 year old boy....)
Then we went swimming in the ocean. I got knocked over by 10 or 12 waves. It was fun but the thing is...it's salt water. Get that stuff up your nose and in your eyes...BLEH. Everything gets a little irritated. Don't get me wrong, still really fun.
Walked around the island a bit. Vendors everywhere. Selling everything you could think of. Pants, shorts, watches, bags, seashells, and pearls. Real pearls? I don't know. XD
Food. Ate at a restaurant on the beach. Had a giant hamburger. HUGE. Only ate half of it. I also had part of a Tequila Sunrise (tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup). You can drink at like 16 here. Legally, I believe it's 18, but no one really checks ID or anything. If you look old enough, they'll give you a drink. I don't really like to but Maureen keeps pushing me so I have like a sip of something I order. Alcohol tastes yucky. XP
Then back to the hotel for sleep. Being beaten by salty waves makes me sleepy. I was going to write this last night, but the hotel's internet stopped working.
So...I hope you enjoyed? I'm going to go get breakfast and, at 10:30, we look into para-sailing and jet skiing! *squee*
If you'd ever like to know what time it is here, you should Google "World Clock" and click the first link you get (it should have "timeanddate" in the address bar). Look for "Manila" and...click it. XP Bam. You know the time and date of where I am. It's got the weather forecast and stuff too.
