I just ate half of a vanilla diamond cookie i found in my liquor cabinet. It's 2 years past its best before date (with broken seal) and tasted surprisingly normal compared to the rancid smell.

I nuked/fried taters & chicken for the first time, and considering the packaging and power, it does indeed seem like it's more efficient to eat microwave dinners. Except the nitrite that's probably in those as preservative may not be good for me, and i doubt the microwave/fan oven inertness of some containers.
