So my Christmas presents this year had a very foodie theme this year, which was absolutely lovely.
One of my presents from my mom was a microplane due to a conversation that neither of us can really really remember excpet for the fact that my mom firmly believes that every kitchen should have one. I think it was because I was talking to her and my brother about how a nutmeg is really a seed and something about how I used nutmeg in the coating of some truffles I made for Thanksgiving, but that's just a complete guess. Random gifts are random! And great! But one food-related gift does not a theme make. On top of that my cousin/roommate got me a shitton of baking supplies and it made me feel all warm and bubbly inside. It also makes me want to bake, but as I am all alone in my apartment until she gets back from Seattle after the new year, I don't really have anyone to bake for. Unless I make something right now and bring it to Milo's with me.
Of course, since I was at work when she left for Seattle and wasn't thinking, her present is still sitting under our tree. I had just gotten her a very pretty scarf, but as she is going to be gone for another week, I upped the ante and got her a nice looseleaf tea as well. Since all of the christmas celebrations that involved my cousins have been postponed to the massive ammounts of snow which have effectively trapped us in our homes, all of their presents are also still under the tree, but I'm sure that since the thaw is starting, our Christmas celebrations will be happening soon.

I seem to write a lot when I'm caffeinated. I could keep going about my DELICIOUS Chrsitmas eve dinner and how I had to work the dullest shift ever Christmas night, but I don't want to bore any one.
Also- I know it's December 26th but I'm going to keep listening to Christmas music until New Years and no one can stop me. Muahaha.
