industrial beaded fun!
yesterday i went to go see The Cruxshadows and Icon of Coil... there was some other band there, but considering that they did nothing more impressive than a Ramones cover, i will choose not to mention them at this juncture.
anyhoo... cruxshadows were pretty gimmicky... they had two singer/dancers with bright pink dreads... and catchy choreographed dances moves (like crossing there arms in an 'x' formation when saying "resist" in one of their songs.... too funny!). the lead singer reminded me of Mr. Urine from Mindless Self Indulgence, because guy had similar hair and taken a habit of incorporating large amounts of audience interaction (like performing a jig with some individuals during a celtic inspired moment). however... i must give them props to the electric violin... that was tres chic!
icon of coil was awesome... very minimalist and punk inspired. i only wish they went on earlier! honestly! what kind'a show goes on until 2am on a monday night?
well today was fairly non-productive... but i did manage to make this. it is a 6 foot beaded window dressing. it has glass crystals that i hope will catch the sunrays... PRETTY!
