(no subject)
the drive into work today was slightly insane. i passed 3 cars that had spun out and a few accidents. i almost wiped out on the highway because i had to pass over a snow burm a plow had made to get to my exit. i got some work i needed to get done finished and then i left work early and the drive home was pretty decent. the plows had been through the major roads and there wasnt much traffic. i find it kind of funny tho, i mean if this storm happened in most other countries i imagine people wouldnt think about going out in it. i was driving along, slipping and sliding, passing cars facing the wrong direction and it didn't bother me that much. maybe because i learned to drive in the winter with a standard? i mean i dont enjoy driving in this weather, its annoying, but its not going to scare me off. you just have to not be an idiot on the road. sadly i couldnt make it into my lot when i got home. i tried 2 times but it was too snowy and icy, my car just couldnt make it up the little hill so i parked myself on the street. i have a feeling i will have a huge pile of snow by my car tomorrow morning from the plow.
i think i will take my cameras out tomorrow for some nice winter shots. i want to get up early and go to the park and trudge through the virgin snow. i remember one time at university i had a project due so i got up really early and caught the bus in. it had snowed all night and they had closed the school but well, school of architecture is always a little different then the rest of the school. i still had to hand in my project. as i walked across campus i left a little pathway in the snow. it looked like i was the only person on earth. it was very cool. i want to do that again in the park. just me an my camera and the......... however many cm of snow we got........ i think it was over 20...
