weekend stuff, plus other stuff
Good weekend, pretty productive and social.
Saturday, I raked the backyard, dumped the leaves on the mulch pile. I didn't do that with the front leaves, since I don't have a good means of transporting 3 bags worth of leaves to the back at this point, so I had the trash guys pick them up on Thursday. I will likely have to rake again, which is fine, I have always liked raking.
After dinner, ka3ytl and I hit the waterfront, so she could get stuff from Macy's, and also hit the grocery store. I ended up driving, since I had some serious groceries to pick up. (any T-day orphans out there? if so, let me know)
Sunday involved laundry (of course) and the getting of a new winter coat. It is faboo, and all the things I was looking for. I CAN HAZ COAT Thanks go to owl_eyes for the fashion consultation and fun shopping mojo. We went back to the house, I finished making the awesome French Onion Soup (but since it is chicken stock, not beef...and no Madeira... is it still French? What would it be?) before she headed off to her Yoga pow-wow.
Friend from undergrad who was in town (anyone here remember Ian Schrieber?) for a game jam at the ETC, stopped by and we hung out for a good long time talking about all sorts of stuff. I kicked him out when I realized it was 10:10pm! he still had 3 hours of driving home, so we supplied him with Dew, and sent him on his way.
I proceeded to have a very fitful night, and didn't sleep well. Hard time falling asleep, and then a bad nightmare I had to wake myself up from. Still managed to hit the gym though, as much as I wanted to just stay in bed.
