Unhappy Meals by Michael Pollan in the NYTimes magazine. Long article, but worth the read. I really like what he has to say. Tempted to buy his new book
"The Omnivore's Dilemma".
One friend is in the process of losing her grandmother, other friends are in the process of having have had their baby girl. I would feel there was more symmetry to that if either set actually knew each other, but they don't.
Restroom that I just used smelled like a catbox.
Ambient temp. leaving the house today was 9F, which is hella better than the -3F the last two mornings. If the temp continues to rise, I will be going to the gym either tomorrow morning or Friday. If anyone wants to join me.
Trip to DC next weekend. I have sent details to some people, summary being Dinner, hanging out, BSG on Sunday at my parents house. Let me know if you are interested. Lunch either Saturday or Sunday at some Indian place Mom knows. (day depends on when D and I drive down, which is weather dependant.) Send me email, or post here if you want more details emailed to you.
oh yeah, and before I forget, I shared part of a pomegranate that had been in my fridge, slowly ripening (I had bought 2, probably about 6 weeks ago) with
ka3ytl and it was spectacular. I had almost forgotten how wonderful they could be, the first of the two was just a touch too bitter, and it took a while for me to eat it. 6 weeks later, as bitter as the first was, this one was sweet. And I still have half of it! I think I will be eating it tonight. (I was going to share it on Sunday, but promptly forgot.
