A Tide
She went to pray,
And even if it was wrong,
Its for the best anyway,
And I can't tune out your sorrow,
If it may be that you feel,
And I can't live up to what I want to,
Even if it might still lead me this way,
But there's a fire in your heart ,
that should not be extinguished,
by my failure to distinguish,
And to be directed away from the tuner to your attention,
I feel unsafe in this darkness,
but its the only comfort I feel,
because I know you will survive,
I see the fear in your eyes,
ascend to a state of reprise,
And you feel,
So much,
You feel too much,
to feel it for me now.
(These tears won't wash away)
I passed by oceans with your smile,
they filled to the brim,
And bled over the mile,
of sand that soaked up my feet,
setting me in a stone relief,
that threatened a fall.
