Poetry Dueling

Sep 14, 2004 14:09

This is a poetry duel between me and a friend of mine. A very cool, sweet, sexy ( and talented in the kitchen) guy named Sean. We had a lot of fun staying up way too late and then decided to duel at 4:30am. So here it is, the stanzas marked 1) are mine and 2) are his. Enjoy...

1)Sick, the sound in my ears
of love that never fails
promises of true devotion
stabbing itself in the back

2)This device my godless display,
I burned all bridges to stand where I lay
Scratch the chrome from this cage
Finalize, life will turn a page!

1)Killing the sorrow in once I swam
a new self growing from the rubble of lost dreams
murdering to discover who I am
defying the meaning behind the screams

2)Stop sneezing your gonna get me sick
And some how that will effecct something important for me to do
maybe Im sopposed to keep my flem a curtin contindancy
so that on the other side of the world some lady can feel fresh (know what I sayin)

1)Straining to hold back my only release
I deny it with an orgasm and grit my teeth
the flesh of my clitoris in a tight grip
I get my revenge as I drip, drip, drip

2)A matter that clings from my display
And from that heat I draw forceful and slow
To burden all breath to quicken the death
Embrace the lack of lore , beast of prey

1)lips of a dead man steal my soul
it left so easy, I hardly miss it
but sometimes I get hungry to have it again
so the Grim Reaper can return to kiss it

2)A rythem that burns all protest
The eyes see what the mouth can not express
A violent flutter only to surrender, the current vice
My mouth is ingulfed, devoure the moment.

1)Invading the invader
I conquer my king
gaining all power by giving it up
only I know when its time to stop

2)Deny all borders through relentless esteem
A course to be conjoured
Repitition to redeem all blood driven seems
Moral venture ended by smoke, mmm
