So, for those who are Nine Inch Nails fans but haven't heard, the new album, Year Zero, comes out on April 17th. And this one is an interesting one...Trent Reznor has built a concept album, what he calls "the soundtrack to a movie that doesn't exist." There's been a viral advertising campaign around it, with several clues as to the album leaked in verious ways and through websites that detail a future 15 years from now that Year Zero is set in...a dystopian future where the US Government has become something out of "1984," V For Vendetta (the movie more then the graphic novel) or "Brave New World." Trent himself has leaked several songs via USB drives left in the bathrooms at concerts.
In my opinion, the stuff is insanely good...but then again, I'm a Reznor-a-holic. I would call it his best since Broken, personally. Those who hated With Teeth should appreciate this album much more.
