hey everyone! i've got some commission slots for y'all that i will try to have finished by early august. as the title says, i'm doing things a little differently than usual.
here's what i'm offering this month:
4 slots for either $200, 6 inch plush, OR $300-$375 big, 1-1.5 foot plush. which means there aren't any slots that are just dedicated to one or the other. they may end up being four 6 inch plush, or four big plush, or two of each, or whatever other combinations there are.
and the other kind of plush i'm offering i call "dress up animals" because i'm not very good at naming things. i've been making them for my etsy shop lately, and figured i'd open some slots for custom ones this month. these are IN THE PLACE OF or INSTEAD of mini plush this month. they will probably come back soon, but i just want to take a little break from making them because i just don't have a lot of fun making a bunch of mini plush haha
SO WITH THAT SAID here are all the rules and pictures and payment infos
GENERAL PAYMENT INFO:
for all plush, i require at least $50 up front before i start working. other than that you can split up payment however you would like, as long as it fits into the following criteria.
for the dress up animals and 6 inch plush, i would like to have payment in full either by the time i finish your plush or in a month, whichever comes later. but don't be counting on your plush being finished in longer than a month as far as payment goes, because i try my hardest to finish each batch of commissions within a month. so if you don't think you'll be able to pay within a month, waiting until next month might be a better idea. i will be opening a full load of commissions (around ten slots total) for the month of august for sure, and then throughout school i'll probably be doing three or four slots each month. so there will be more chances.
for the bigger plush i understand if you need to have some sort of payment plan to finish paying for it, since they do cost more. i'm fine with spreading it out for longer than a month, but since, for the next two months i am using the money for commissions to pay for school fees and stuff, i do need payment in full by september 1st. please consider this and be pretty certain you can make that deadline before you commission me.
AND if you pay in full up front, i WILL put your plush first in line, or at least right behind everyone else that paid in full. the payment method i use is paypal.
WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID i am understanding, and if you fully intended to pay me within a month/by september and something unforseen comes up that requires your money I UNDERSTAND. don't be afraid to let me know that you'll be a little late in paying me. i know stuff can happen sometimes, and usually that stuff takes priority over paying for a commission on time. i'm always happy to work out a longer payment schedule if something like this happens, just make sure you communicate, and let me know in a timely manner that you won't be able to pay right away. i'm happy to accommodate so long as i don't have to turn debt collector and send you a message every month reminding you that you owe me money and haven't said anything for a while.
but i do depend on getting paid in a timely manner, and i in turn finish your plush in a timely manner. so if at all possible do try to pay me on time <3
OK MONEY SPEIL OVER ON TO THE PLUSH:
6 INCH PLUSH OR BIGGER PLUSH
- reply to the appropriate thread to claim a slot
- i can make just about anything with this slot, unless it is crazy complicated and has too many details to fit into this size of plush. but in that case i am happy to make a simplified style like pokedoll or something
- I'M NOT LIMITED TO POKEMON! i love to make people's OC's. and i love to do pet portraits too!
- i'm happy to make ANY style you can think up. i'm not limited to pokedoll or canvas or pokemon time styles, but those are definitely options.
- i need at least some kind of reference, (results from a google image search is just fine) and if you feel so inclined to draw a turnaround for me that would be fabulous! but not required.
6 inch plush specific info:
- they are 6" each and made of minky
- they are $200
- if you want a specific size (like you want it to fit in with your pokedoll/canvas plush collection so you want it a little smaller than 6", or you want it to be as big as the 6" size restraint will allow) just let me know. otherwise i'll decide. (i usually try to make pokedoll style ones fit the pokedoll size, and otherwise i make it either 6 inches long or 6 inches tall)
- basically 6 inches means when i'm finished it will fit in the 6x6x6 shipping boxes i have for them. so if making it 6 inches tall will make it a foot long i'll make it a little shorter than 6 inches. hope that all makes sense haha
big plush specific info:
- price depends on complexity of the plush
- size isn't exact. i'm not going to make anything taller than two feet for this slot (unless it's something like it would be 2.5 feet if it were standing but it's a sitting plush and it's only 1 foot while sitting) (those are really long legs) basically i'm just going to make it whatever size seems to look the best with the plush design, and also whatever size doesn't look too small to be considered a "bigger" plush. but it'll be somewhere between one and two feet tall.
- basically all of this stuff is up for negotiation so we'll talk abut it.
- oh, and i may not be able to do some embroidered features on these bigger plush, just because the design is limited to 4"x4". most eyes and stuff will fit within those parameters , but if the design has weirdly huge eyes they might not fit. but if they're weirdly huge that means i'll be able to be more detailed with the applique technique so it shouldn't matter much.
- base price is $300
- highest price is $370
- SHIPPING will be an extra $10 inside the US and $40 outside of the US. i'm going to send it first class shipping (or priority if the box is too big) which is actually something like $25 internationally, but i want to be absolutely sure it's covered in case there's something weird. so i charge $40, and then once it's shipped if it's a lot less i will refund you the difference.
- if you are international and you want tracking on your box, i will have to send it express which is significantly more expensive. so we'll work that out if that's the case. with first class/priority shipping it comes with a label number, that isn't exact tracking, but you can keep track of when/if they scan it at major destinations at least.
- feel free to ask any questions you might have!
now for the new kid on the block, dress up animals: (4 slots)
These are animals that are all based off one simple pattern i've developed. i've specifically designed their arms and necks so they can wear clothes, and they're pretty easy to design clothes for, hence the name "dress up animals" (if you want the quick version of prices, it's at the bottom of all of this. i'm long winded and try to cover everything in here since this is a new commission option)
this is sort of a test run to see if these guys could work as commissions. there are two ways you could go about this:
1. request a re-make of an animal i've already made
here are links to examples of all the animals i've made in the past, and still have the patterns on hand for
{x} {x}if you would just like one of those guys, with no alterations to the embroidery or pattern, then the cost will be the same price i charge for them in my
etsy shop. for this price i am happy to do different colors of fabric or thread on the embroidery for no extra cost. like, say you want a red panda, but instead of orange and black you want it blue and purple with green eyes. so long as i don't have to change the pattern or the embroidery design at all, you won't be charged more than they cost in my etsy shop. (there are some examples of color variations in the second link)
each animal costs slightly different, since they have different details and such, but the designs available cost between $36-$41
2. custom plush
This can be one of two things
a. you want a regular animal in this style that i haven't made yet. if you request this, i'll charge you whatever the price for that design would be in my etsy shop +$5, since it's not a pattern i already have. i may or may not use the pattern to make more for my etsy shop. so these will probably be anywhere from $40-$50 (50 if it's a REALLY complicated animal. it'll probably be about $45 for most animals)
b. a plush of your OC. these will be $50 and up. i don't want to do any overly complicated characters as this is a pretty simple format. the cost will go up with every color/feature in your character. these i will obviously NOT be making more of to sell in my shop as they would be your own characters. i may also do pokemon in this style, depending on the pokemon. (has to at least be quadroped with a defined head...i'll let you know if i can do what you have in mind or not)
HOW I PRICE THESE
each design starts out at a base price of $35 (for regular animals i can make more of and sell in my shop) or $45 for original characters/licensed characters that i can't put in my shop. this price includes ears and a tail, and solid colored pattern pieces. it does not include the embroidered faces.
+$1.50 for:
- each embroidery design that requires a separate hoop (for example, a set of paws is $1.50 instead of three because i can do two paws at once. but the red panda's face and tail would be a total of $3 because even though they're on the same color of fabric i had to do each seperately since they wouldn't fit in one)
- each extra color sewn onto a part. for example: the orange and white greyhound in the picture up there, the arms would NOT be an extra $1.50 because even though they're two colors, each color was a whole pattern piece. the black/tan shiba inus however would be an extra $1.50 for the arms because it took some extra sewing to make them half tan half black. also on the orange/white greyhound character, the patches over the eyes and the design on the chest would cost extra.
- excessive features (i will explain) as mentioned before, the base price includes ears and a tail. it'll be extra for like... a set of horns, or extra tails, or spines down the back or anything like that.
and +$2.00 for:
- armature in the arms, as shown in the few of the pictures.
- drastic changes to any of my existing patterns. (an example of a drastic change would be the wings on the crows, or the alligator's head, which were big changed from the original pattern i made, which was the shiba inu. these plush can be seen in the second link)
(i will figure out the prices and stuff, you don't have to worry about any of this, this is just to show you about how much your character will be)
the orange and white greyhound is a good example of what you can expect with an original character plush. (here's an example of
what i did with the same character as a "6 inch plush") with this style i am going to do the eyes as dots, as shown in all the examples. this is a pretty non-negotiable style- i'm going to do what i want with your request. if you don't like this style, and want more control over the end result, i will do whatever you ask me to with the two bigger plush options.
TL;DR DRESS UP ANIMAL PRICES:
you can expect a price of $36-$41 for remakes of existing designs, $40-$50 for a regular animal that i can later duplicate and sell in my shop if i want, and $50-$70 for original characters/licensed characters that will not be duplicated for sale in my shop.
OK OK I THINK THAT'S IT FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE, THANKS FOR READING ALL OF THAT ;w;;
