I was sharing a lemon cake recipe with a group, and realized 13 months later I had never blogged this. I made it last spring for a friend's bridal shower. This turned out really well and was really easy. Plus the beauty of banana cake/bread is that it tastes even better the next day. Really moist and the zippy cream cheese frosting (don't make it too sweet) counters the sweet cake well.
I think this should be called arterial blood red velvet cake. It is the reddest (and tastiest) red velvet cake I have ever made, and it (along with the black magic cake) were huge hits.
