Top point of interest - Most people don't know this, but I dropped out of school during my senior year and never got my high school diploma .. nor did I ever get my GED. Yes, for 13 years I have somehow managed to get some pretty good paying jobs out there when I never had the education that was mandatory. Anyhoo, my point is that I am taking that ( Read more... )

I had NO IDEA about school! Good for you for going back. Obviously though just having a diploma or not doesn't indicate intelligence because you are a smart cookie. You are a terrible role model for drop outs! ;-) "You could end up like her...smart...with a good job...and a family and uh...never mind! Don't pay attention to her!" Seriously that's really cool. I wouldn't be able to pass a freaking GED exam. No way. i.e. just because I went to HS and college doesn't mean I remember a lot of it. Ok I will stop...I am just excited for you!

Thank goodness your mom has medicare now. My mom is able to get the tests and things she needs. I hope she has some solid doctors who will take good care of her. I feel like my mom is being held together with duct tape. Hell she is held together with screws. It's hard to handle for me.

Oh and {insert my standard statement about how if I lived close to you I would kidnap you for a day out or babysit your daughter.} You GOTTA have a break. Of course you want him to offer. I think I would be at the point like "look buddy. I need a break. I am exhausted and this little munchkin is wearing me down. I know you are tired but I am too. Have fun. Be back in a few hours." You can't be with a toddler 24/7 7 days a week and not need a break! And it's not like you can turn off being a mom when you are at home. You need to go on a trip and leave the two of them at home for more than a day and he will be like "OK I GET IT." Or you will just come home to a wrecked house. ;-)
