first, i'm alive if not particularly well. the stabbin pains i felt in my upper torso wuzzint my ticker. huge thankz 2 Debbie (?) Rosin who convinced me (along wif da pain) 2 go 2 da hospital. if anybody got Sam's email address, pleez pass it along.
now da scrabble. game one got blasted by Mike Frentz by 200. bad sign got worse as i struggle 2 hit day 1 5-2 mark. the prettiest woman in da room gave me a gift in da first of my THREE 1 pt wins. note here dat while da asiatic man i dreamed of chokin wuzz NOT John Chew, i really do wanna at least kick him in his shin or sumpn 4 callin me a LUCKY STIFF in winnin close games (whereas some other lunkhead draw like a gotdayum feen n win 1 game by more den i did in da 6 listed). da most tellin stat izz i wuzz outbingoed 13-6 (notable given i probly know more bingos den opps combined), but wuzz 5-2.
painful loss 2 Nigel Richardsin rd 9: he left me alive long enuf 4 me 2 come back from huge deficit (he didn't block a 50 pt Z spot scorin 3 less wif da same 2 tiles dat blocked--POLITE way of sayin he made a terrible blunder) only 2 bingo out AFTA i take da lead inna spot he shoulda played. arrived in orlando 2 days early 2 chill by myself 4 a minnit. thought about proficiency--if i hit above 95%, i'd have a good shot 2 win wif juss avg tiles. fuckin waste of time--bringin da A game don't mean squat if F game letters izz drawn.
day 2 wuzz all fuckin Us--when it wuzzint UW, it wuzz UU. 7 U game vs. Kenas (who gave me da dat shit aint gonna last/iss in da past speech) wuzz followed up by a 6 U game a coupla rounds later. i miss da ONLY bingo i missed all tourney (aint have many opportunities 2 miss dat many) vs Kramer. da other bingo dat could qualify as a miss wouldna got played anyway as i sought 2 induce Kramer 2 err (which he promptly did by not only missin a bingo, but offerin me a likely win by slottin a 3x3). ended da day by findin out Carl Johnson got mad game as advertised n watchin Cesar score 86 wif a IITTU + 3.
i wuzz so disgusted dat when i finally drew some decent racks i wuzz outtiled by opp, i 4got 2 tell Sam juss how great he played. i wuzz waitn 4 him 2 make da mistake n he didn't. dean remembered how 2 play in our game (a comment on his performance @ da can-am) n kicked me like a dutiful big brother would someone who dared lay a finger on him pwetty wittle sista. i had 2 yell at a sequence in da game vs Jesse dat went wuzz 7 vowel draw, 7 vowel draw, AINERS wif Q as 7th, blank (UGGGHHH). Jesse mistrackin gimme another 1 pt win. i abuse Winter cuz he came 2 da table late (STOICITY), get only endgame lucky draw vs Danny Fogel, n accept another gift when Manop play SUNKER (SUNK woulda won). i made dat game harder by allowin a word i wuzz 90% certain wuzzint good (DOGBOWS). my rack wuzz IIINOT? n da strategic call (game score + board position + unseen pool) wuzz 2 let it go in win in da pre/endgame if it came 2 it (which i shoulda known it would given how badly i wuzz drawin).
last day i figured i would get Scott Appel in rd 22 (i took da standin sheet da night before). hoped beatin him (since i usually don't )would signal i would run da table. Glad 2 get eyechart in rd 24--n gladder he put me outta my misery early. woulda HATED 2 lose later in da day while if playin 4 $$$. Tiek showed he can still dance as he outplayed me in da endgame (notable 4 what will remain an unspoken reason). hit Olaf in da head as usual--even tho he answered my babyish ?? 3x3, my AEQSTXZ draw afta my 15F VARIANCE effectively ended da game.
Nick Mayer kicked me, i kicked HoPistol n Doc Frankenstein (Mike Baron) n almost dropped dead (if i had smoked ONE MORE cigarette in dat heat--bp wuzz 180 ova 110 when i got 2 hospital). done wif scrabble cuz yall 2 fuckin stupid (am i da ONLY one dess bothered by da fact dat da championship izz decided by people NOT in contention???????????) 4 me. cuz a thing izz traditionally done izz reason enuf 2 perpetually do it WRONG (n inna dumbass manner)????
