Entry #36 - August 25th [friends locked]
It has been exactly a month since my last entry. Well, perhaps more than that, thanks to the Nexus and the different way time passes there than in my world.
Wright earned an acquittal. That nightmare is more or less over with. Just to make sure, I intend on seeing to Gant's execution as soon as possible. There are still a few loose ends to tie up, but I will be heading in for review of my work performance once more.
Detective, you have your rank once more. Don't do anything foolish to make me regret that.
Working with the court system after yet another 'absence' (as unwelcome as this last one was) had reminded me of how pointless some trials can be. It is no fault of anyone, really. I just am not where I should be in my career.
Which is why I have decided to return overseas. Possibly to Germany, as despite the regrets I may hold for my past, I cannot deny the fact that it exists. Might as well use that to an advantage.
I will still appear sporadically in the Nexus, and even more once I become accustomed to the jet lag that will follow. I will be leaving next week.
I am terrible sorry to inconvenience you with this, but.. Do you think you could take care of Pess for me in my absence? It will not be for long, only until I can get myself situated somewhere that allows pets, but I will leave everything with you so you do not need to purchase anything for her. And you will not have to be afraid to visit, as once I figure it out I will send you the coordinates to my residence.
Although, before I depart, I would prefer to finish our conversation last night, before it was interrupted by.. certain events.
