I can't decide whether it's interesting or horrifyingly sad that the primary suggestions for the boys were behavioral and geared towards getting them to treat women nicely, (hold the door, don't touch your junk in front of a lady, etc) and the suggestions for the girls were largely geared towards making them more physically attractive, in looks and odor. Although assigning household chores to the women doesn't surprise me one iota, since the vast majority of the households I've lived in have contained males who couldn't find the vacuum or the dishwasher if you poisoned them and stuck the antidote in it.

My two cents on your questions is this: burping is nasty if it smells or if you're trying to achieve some sort of record doing it. Discreetly burping is different. Farting is gross by either sex. Did you know that in the old south, when they refer to a lady having "the vapors" what they mean is that she has gas and had to leave the room so as not to offend polite society? As far as cursing goes, I think it's generational. Older people are going to find it unattractive/offensive more than younger people. I personally feel like there's a time and a place for it. I'm probably hypersensitive about it because we're not allowed to use any kind of offensive language at work, so I'm constantly trying to remember to say sugar when I mean shit, because I've just dropped something or burned myself, and it enrages me to no end when I've got someone bitching at me and throwing curse words around like crazy and I have to maintain a professional demeanor and NOT tell them to fuck off. But when it's you and your friends and there AREN'T a bunch of old people or kids in earshot? I don't think it's that big a deal. Note that when I say old people, I'm including my parents generation, who are in their mid fifties, because my mom STILL reproaches my dad if he says fuck in front of her. And then you have Greg, who uses the word to refer to the sex act, as in "let's go fuck" LOL. See? Generational differences.

I think your singlehood has more to do with a lack of confidence and a tendency to fall for guys who don't appreciate you than how much you burp or curse. Guys your age suck- they will say they want a smart girl, a strong girl, an individual, but if you parade a blonde with the body of a Playmate and the brain of a houseplant in front of them, they'll stab each other in the eye trying to get there first. Men are super visually focused, never more so than between the ages of about 13 and maybe 25. I still kick Greg when we're watching tv because he makes comments occasionally about the actresses that has me paranoid about my own attractiveness, despite his assurances to the contrary all the time. It's just something they can't help. They get deeper with age, but in high school, they're still pretty shallow.
