My Best Friend
I know a few of have already heard through Facebook, etc, but for those of you who have not - Chris is currently in Ottawa getting the heart transplant he's been waiting so long for.
He called me just after midnight on Wednesday to tell me that he had just had a call from Ottawa and they had a heart waiting there for him. He said he was waiting for flight information, and would be leaving within a couple of hours.
He said he wasn't ready for this.
Who would be?
I was anxious, and sad most of yesterday. Not knowing is the worst of all.
I tried calling his parents a few times, but there's no answer, so I'm assuming both of them went with him.
I eventually decided to send his brother a message on facebook for updates. He replied just after 8PM that Chris had just gone into surgery, which was expected to take 12 hours. I haven't heard anything since.
Please keep Chris in your thoughts, and if it's your thing, your prayers. I know he would appreciate both.
