I think I have a cunning plan....

Been stuck full of cold these last few days... Boo...

But an enforced house stay has been useful, as I've done a good few bits of house stuff (interspersed with collapsing in a heap each time I run out of energy).

I don't do formal New Years Resolutions but for the next few months I have a few "aims":

1) to keep my weight steady and ideally v-e-r-y slowly lose about half a stone through exercising and portion control (I enjoy food far too much to formally diet. Plus I genuinely believe that exclusion diets don't work long-term).

2) to try to minimise food waste in the household ( we're not too bad on this one, but since the council started collecting food waste I hate putting peelings out for the bin men. So I'm going to have a second kitchen bin to start home composting most of it again, and try to budget our food buys to prevent things being wasted where at all possible).

3) to try to de-clutter as much as possible. Not as easy as it might be as I hate "wasting resources"- I'm one of those people who hoards plastic mushroom punnets and wears clothing til it's 15 years old and falls apart. And I have a rag bag.
But we need to lighten our collective stuff especially as a move may be on the cards in the next year or two. I will appease my concience by rehoming, recycling and compacting as much as possible.

That all sounds suspiciously like resolutions, doesn't it. Damn.
Time for a cuppa....
