OK. I just got a full-time job as a news assistant at the Mesa bureau of the Arizona Republic. That means a pay increase and benefits. It's not a reporting job, but it's a start.

Well, I finished my first day at the Arizona Republic as a news assistant. I found it exciting and thrilling. My main functions will be clerical, but I will have the opportunity to work on articles.
