I love late night cupcakes with swirly white frosting, Marlene Dietrich's voice, and reading Anna Karenina a chapter at a time. I love the enormous book on Turkish art and archaeology that my sister brought back for me from Turkey (and I love the Turkish delight she brought back, too). I love being close to finishing research. I love the fact that even historians like Livy misunderstand Greek sometimes - Livy has soldiers defending themselves in a certain battle with doors, because he confused the word for shield (thureos) with the word for door (thura). Eheh.
And I love that it's just cold enough for a blanket at night. <3
