Psh. Entertainment?
I've decided that today I'm going to rant about the falling industry that we call "entertainment."
I watched Mad TV last night. Wow. It's not even funny. The funniest part was that guy who got on there and acted like George W. Bush. And it was only funny cause he was fat and short and he sounded JUST like him.
Well, watching that got boring. So I changed the channel and watched Saturday Night Live instead. Okay, a bit funnier. Maybe because Johnny Knoxville was on there. I dunno. But SNL hasn't been the same since Chris Farley and Adam Sandler left. They were probably the best. Anyway, the whole time all they made fun of was Paula Abdul (Whom I am so tired of hearing about.. They play out this news crap WAY too much.. Just like Michael Jackson and O.J. Simpson.) There was some making fun of Johnny Knoxville because of Jackass. They also kinda picked up on the whole "gay faction" thing. The only reason I know about that is because I actually stayed up one night while watching Conan and he happened to be on there.
Another thing about the entertainment industry that pisses me off is when you get those actresses who NEVER STOP TALKING. I'm pretty sure this was on either Jay Leno or David Letterman, but the lady kept going on and on about some stupid story that wasn't even important enough for me to remember. I didn't even know who she was.. but apparently SHE thought she was important enough to keep on talking and interupting the host's questions with more of her going no where stories. She was like a sixty year old man.
And then there is the people who flip flop. Going from music to movies to music to TV and back again. I think that if you find one talent that you're good at.. stick with that one! Just because you're a good singer, doesn't mean you're a good actor. (Jessica Simpson.. Not that I think she's a good singer, I personally can't stand her.. Just as an example.) And just because you're a good actor DEFINATLY doesn't mean you're a good singer. (Hilary Duff. I don't think she's good either, in fact, she makes me want to barf everytime I see/hear her.)
Remakes. Remakes piss me off. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.. Anyone see that? I did. One funny part. And they show that in the previews on TV. I love Johnny Depp, don't get me wrong. He's a wonderful actor. I LOVE Pirates of the Caribbean. But. That. Movie. Sucked. Wille Wonka had a life outside of the Chocolate Factory? Who knew? Who freaking cared? Certainly not me.
And then there's The Dukes of Hazard. Everyone's FAVORITE TV show comes to the big screen! YAY! It's Startsky and Hutch all over again. If it was made for TV, it should stay on TV!! Like we didn't get enough of them running around in their stupid car and the cops chasing it.. Like we didn't get enough of freaking Daisy Duke's boobs in the camera. Ugh. I'm gonna barf.
Anyways. Entertainment sucks now. "I am here to make it very clear that I have never intentionally used steroids. Never, ever. Period." I just wanted to jump on the bandwagon.
