*S*A*N* *F*R*A*N*C*I*S*C*O*
well...since it has been ages i figured that i better get my act together and write in here again. i went to san francisco california with nate for a week...it was awesome...pretty much the time of my life! here are the fun details of the trip ;)
+ first plane flight
+ flew out from airport in minneapolis, and there were no crowds
- plane had "mechanical problem" delayed in airport for 3 hours
- don't take off until 12am
+ many people stuck in MN since they missed connecting flights in las vegas
= me and nate get seat to ourselves
+ land in las vegas at about 1:30am...get to see lights of "the strip"
- stuck in plane on ground for half an hour with new cranky passangers because of heat lightning
+ happy to be on ground and not being lightning zapped
- complained to nate about it anyways
+/- land in san fran at 5am...happy to be there, so tired can't comprehend anything
- realize that back home it is 7:30am...and i have almost been awake for 24 hours
+ get to nate's brother's (tim's) house...pass out on air mattres as sun is coming up
+ the weather is beautiful...sunny, no clouds, 70 degrees everyday
+ go to stinson's beach...cute little tourist town
+ first time in the ocean
- ocean NOT like lake superior...smells...salt water is weird
+ played in big waves
+ watched nate "experiment" with his new boogyboard
+ get to play with ticket, tim's dog...i love that puppy!
+ ate at many fabulous resteraunts
- VERY EXPENSIVE!!
- don't know how much i like sour dough bread....
+ many tourist shops...can't get enough!
- nate gets annoyed with my need to stop at EVERY sidewalk vender
+ loved laying and falling asleep by the pool
+ now know how to travel from larkspur to san fran by ferry
+ understand the Muni and the BART systems
+ have been the Fisherman's Warf, Alcatraz, and Union Square...all very cool
+ exposed to many new kinds of people and culture
+ have now been to state other then WI or MI
so that's pretty much my trip! it was so fun and such an amazing experience. i miss it there already, even tho i was happy to be home and see everyone.
* hope everyone who got a post card enjoyed it...sorry they got home kinda late...i honestly couldn't find a post office :/
