Weird things

For some reason I have been having a lot of really random and weird dreams and don't know where they are coming from. Maybe cause I'm into Medium now, but I'm not helping solve murder cases with my dreams...lol. On Friday night I dreamed all about playing on train tracks and I had to constantly turn around to make sure no trains were coming, and would keep forgetting that trains can come from either way and had to keep jumping out of the way to not get hit by them. This was on the way to go study abroad in some random country, and I kept telling people I was going to Costa Rica, but that's not where I was really going. And then when I was at the actual train station, another train came in and hit the train that I was waiting to get on and there was a big explosion but I saw it from above so maybe I died? Who knows. Then last night I don't remember much, but it involved eating cold pecans from the refridgerator. So I woke up having this weird craving for cold pecans but I was like we don't have any pecans and if we did they would be in the pantry and not cold. But then I went to get milk for my cereal and there were pecans in the fridge!!! Creepy. Like my brain somehow knew there were pecans in there without me actually knowing it. So I ate a few, and my dream came true today. Sooo weird. Anyways. Apex this weekend was fun as usual. Friday night we beefed up the sabre work like woah and added some tricky stuff. There is this blade 5 that used to have a starting difficulty at about 6.0 and was jacked up to about a 9.8. Partially because of how we get into it, and what we do under it, and what we do when we catch it. I must say it is maxed out, but it is haaaaard. What we used to do: Hold 4, move 4, move 8, hold 2, toss a blade 5 on count 3, move to the end of the floor. There was no work until the blade 5 just drill. But we filled all that in on Friday night. What we do now:We have this backhand work going into it, and if you catch the backhand, you have to worry about the inverted catch on the right hand, and then if you make it through those 2 things, you're golden for about 2 counts where you just take the sabre around your body without letting it fling to the 45, then you have to backwards grab the sabre with your left hand, attitude jump around with the right leg while bringing the sabre up and over your left arm, grabbing quick with the right hand to prep for the blade 5, then on the release of the blade 5, you go up in a left passe, left arm straight out, extend the passe, then drag your foot behind you and slide to the ground, then hopefully catch the 5. Its THE most extensive thing I've ever done I'm pretty sure and fine I like it. Until I almost died warming up during intermission and it bounced into my face. But other than that its great. We also learned some pretty intense sabre work in the middle of the show. We only have a few sets left to finish and that will prob happen this weekend. Although it was quite stressful to learn work and get through it the next day, I'm glad i've already done it in front of people and got the nerves out for that part. Nothing went terribly wrong except i hit the ground with my sabre in the first 3 counts of sabre work but that was just stupidity but funny at the same time. Overall we didn't really have the best show, but it's most likely due to us not perfoming b/c of trying to get through the new work, and also just panicking when things went wrong. Also, we don't have our floor painted or our uniforms, or flags, and I think thats gonna make our show make a lot more sense, and for the audience to realize we're not really afraid of americans. So we def have a chance to do a lot better in 2 weeks once all this stuff settles in. We got a 57.8 and we're hoping to move up a good 8-10 points in 2 weeks lol. We'll see what happens. The bus rides were fun, I think dane cook was quoted for about an hour, and we had disney theater in the back. And on the way home we were over it lol. The only thing that bothered me in our show was the audience reaction. I was hoping for more a reaction for the sabre 6 and def for the toss turn around parallel! No one clapped for that. I was like...umm this is hard!! Clap dammit! BUT...i did not cheat the behind the back flag toss. It was the best I think I have ever done it. And it was awesome to catch it like that in a show cause I thought i would cheat it when i got nervous but it was good. Too bad you can't see it on the video cause I'm all the way on the left!! Ohh wellll. After we got back a few people went to Eagle Diner and it was a good time!!! Went back to Papi's fell asleep prob around 2 am, woke up at noon...fantastic! Then had practice 1-4. We basically worked on how to perform since thats what we got nailed on and it makes more sense now. Also, the sabre work has sunk in a little and now i can do it without worrying crazily about it. When we were running the flag ending, I went to do the toss turn around parallel, and me being a wuss I usually don't turn the first time I throw it, but for some reason I was like I'm just gonna go for it and turn. So I toss, turn, hear this huge BAM and then look up to see the end of the flag pole coming for my face. I had to do like this matrix move to not get my teeth knocked out and then the flag hit the floor and i looked up to see the lamp swinging. Steve turned off the music he was so suprised haha. But I had never hit the lamp before, but then Micah said the floor was angled up to the left today making my set farther forward than usual, and thats why I hit it. I wasn't even looking for a hazard lol I basically tossed it right into it. But it was def the highlight of my sunday haha i didn't break it, it's all good! It made me have a flash back to when a kid in my winterguard my freshman year of hs almost got hit in the face with a flag when my instructor tossed under a basketball hoop and the flag rocheted like a javelin (sp?) towards his face. So simultaneously i was thinking of that and ducking for cover. Good times. Then on my way home, I got on 95 off of 896...I saw traffic but I was like whatever it can't be that bad. It was dead stopped. There was apparantly an accident near the rest area and only the shoulder was getting by. So it took me 45 minutes to go about a half mile and I'm not even exagerrating at all, suprising I know. But dead stopped then inch up then stopped again. Awful. But then out of nowhere the traffic started moving so they must have cleared it out of the way. So it was fine after that and I got home around 8:30. Not too bad. Went to sleep around 12, and then woke up at 7:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. So I got up and ate breakfast, and I don't know if I just wasn't completely awake or because I havn't been up that early in a looong time, I was opening a box of cereal and thought it hadn't been opened yet. So I open the box, then I go to open the bag, and it felt like the cereal was falling out of the bottom. So i picked up the box, then the bottom opened and cereal spilled all over the counter. I was like who was the retard who opened the box at the bottom! Then I realized...I was that person. I opened an already opened box of cereal from the bottom, then got mad when it spilled out of the top. What a moron. So i just lounged around watching tv, made taco salad for lunch, and now I have nothing to do for the rest of the day. I wish it wasn't so cold and windy out I could go spin. Oh well. Hope you liked the novel, weird things are happening in my life that are somewhat worth writing about!
