Yesterday did not go according to plan in the slightest.
I woke up feeling a lot better than I have been due to that nasty cold (flu?), took meds just in case and left the house. My parents gave me a lift to Hurstville station and that's where things started going wrong. I felt terribly travel sick in the car... but I didn't say anything.
I braved the train, and ended up having to close my eyes to avoid the waves of nausea which mark the impending vomit. Made it off the train and went straight into Woolies, carefully of course, to stock up on my anti-sickness stash: lemonade (room temperature) and crackers. Made it out of Woolies with my stash, out into the street and then... Oh dear.
Luckily it was only coming up a mouthful at a time and there was a public bin conveniently in front of me - not that it made my humiliation any better. People probably thought I was some hungover runaway at the very least. Tried to make it from there to the nearest bathrooms, but didn't quite make it... Cue hand plastered over my mouth and onlookers staring. Brilliant.
Anywho, I'm really sorry for too much detail so I'll fast forward to sitting in the food court for two hours waiting for help aka knight in shining armour to arrive. I was actually on my way to his place for the day, but that totally wasn't going to happen. Stupid public transport. We totally both need cars (and in my case, my license!)... Anyway, he turned up and I didn't feel like I was going to faint/vomit everywhere and he accompanied me home (despite the fact that I might puke on him, that he had to travel outrageously far (we're talking close to 2 hours here, people) on public transport just to drop me off, and he had to brave my parents).
I ended up feeling a lot better (I'm blaming flu?/cold meds + empty stomach) and so we played Little Big Planet on my bro's PS3 until he had to leave. ♥
So yes, I'm incredibly lucky, and things concerning us and my parents seem to be going a lot more positively (completely unrelated to today/yesterday's situation - haven't told them yet!). Let's hope it all continues!
P.S. Seriously, Portugal? Brazil? Why you waste my life like that?!
