sitting here with my knees up to my chest trying to decide what to get for my dad for fathers day. i heard of a book from a friend of mine, called, "a fathers legacy". its a book that he fills out with questions from your full name, to the name of your first love to your first grandchild. it makes me sad that i wont already know the answers to the questions in between, but i guess thats the point of the book. right? im guessing i'll get this book back the day of his funeral. dads dying. but i'll have all the answers to all the questions i forgot to ask him. i think i like writing about this more then i like talking about it. im trying to set myself up for when i see him next week. should i be aware of his condition or should i joke with him like normal. am i supposed to make up for the last 24 years in the next week. am i being selfish? should i be thinking of how is he gonna try to act strong enough in front of his little girl? that just makes it worse. but i guess this is the point in life where everything starts getting taken away from you. how come mine had to come so early.
