What an asshat. Shane should have called the police. Now that would be fun.

Oh lord, do I feel your pain. I've had some similar psychos myself at my job at Rogers Video (ie: the Canadian answer to Blockbuster)... and similarly wussy coworkers who are unable to deal with the situation.

My biggest sympathies to you because you had the misfortune of cleaning up that shit on a Monday-- I know how Mondays are in the video store world. Monday wall jobs for Tuesday's new releases are unpleasant even when they go smoothly!

(PS: House MD for the win. <3 )

yea, I was lucky last night....a friend helped me put a few movies on the shelf before I bolted out.....and I had to warn the only two customers that came in right before the store closed that the movies that I was putting up weren't going to be rentable til today lol....

I hatehatehate when managers give into pushy jerk customers. It teaches people that if they're a big enough pain in the ass, they'll get what they want, and make you feel like an idiot for following policy.

I would've called the police the moment that she told her kids to start making a mess of the store...not the regional manager. It's not the stores fault that she can't manage to budget her money and overspent (at least I'm guessing that's why she was trying to get 100+ in refunds). And as other people have pointed out, now that the regional manager caved to her once, what's to stop her from pulling the same crap again?

Same. It's time to call the police when she does something like that.

If the police had been called sooner and she had been busted for disturbing the peace or vandalism or whatever trashing a store is (which is just disgusting!) you know she would have been back the next day demanding the refund so she could pay her fine! lol

What a jerk. And any regional manager worth their name tag wouldn't cave when somebody was trashing the store. That's a "get off the phone and call the police" moment.

Once I had someone tell me that leadership is cleaning up other people's messes. Yeah, I told that person to kiss my ass.
