I realize that this community is probably pretty dead.
But I just had to post about 'plague rats'. (I should probably mention that I'm in the US, where there are folks who believe being made to wear a mask infringes on their freedums.)
We had a customer who gave the store a zero on the customer service 'form' (via the internet) because our fitting rooms were closed.
Another customer wanted to know if she could try on clothes in the bathroom.
THERE'S A F***ING PANDEMIC ON PEOPLE!!! ARE Y'ALL TRYING TO CATCH THE CORONA?!
And then we have customers who come in with a mask on, but then they take it off and wander around unmasked.
Our manager says we can't make customers wear masks. Grrr. People have to wear pants in stores to get service. If a customer came in without something on their bottoms, we probably wouldn't let them in.
And some of my co-workers also suck on the mask-wearing front. They wear it so that their nose is uncovered. Or they do things like one of my co-workers on truck day, who kept wetting her fingers with her mouth, when she was opening boxes and removing plastic from new clothing.
I feel like there needs to be a Public Service Announcement equating wearing a mask with wearing pants.
I feel like only the Asians and Africans at work get proper mask etiquette. We 'muricans are just too dumb.
Side note- may I also complain about the new manager? So the front entrance door with the keylock (where we enter after hours) had been having odd popping issues for two weeks. Well, one day we couldn't get in. Three people tried their keys, and no one was able to open the door. MOD tried to call for a locksmith, but none were available that early. We didn't get into the store until about 5 minutes before we were supposed to open. That door still hasn't been fixed.
The trash compactor has also been giving issues. The manager has been alerted about it.
Word I'm hearing "through the grapevine" is that our manager is taking these complaints as criticism of him, and that's why he leaves things until the 'last minute'.
Sigh.....
Anyone know anywhere hiring in Dallas, TX?
Anyway, hope y'all are doing okay out there. (Or as well as possible, given the death toll.)
