And This Is Why I Hate Review Sites

It's the school summer holidays in the Uk, and being in the pub trade it's our busiest time of year.

We are packed out every night with people wanting to eat, especially in good weather, like last night. But hey, there were no complaints! Oh wait, what's that on a certain review site....

Yeah, someone left us a bad review, totally lying about what actually happened. My favourite thing in the world!

First of all, they woman claimed the girl behind the bar repeated her drink 'six times!' before she actually understood the lady was ordering a Rose wine. What actually happened is the lady ordered Rose wine, and my coworker asked if she wanted a small, medium or large glass. To which the lady replied "Rose wine!!!". My coworker replied "Yes, but what size glass do you want?" only to be met with "RO-SE WI-NE" said to her like she was an idiot. Then it seemed to click with the lady who then said sorry, and could she have a medium glass.

Then she claims the kitchen forgot her child's order. Except all that happened was when the waitress took cutlery out to the table she realised that she had only brought two sets rather than three sets, so she apologised and went right back to the kitchen and got another set. Their food order was correct, it all came out of the kitchen together, nothing was actually forgotten.

Then, we didn't bring extra ketchup to her child in a timely manner. Apparently having to walk down to the kitchen and returning with extra ketchup takes too long and is bad service.

So according to her we are crap, and the pub down the street with consistently awful reviews is much better. Wait, the ladies surname seems to be the same as the people who run that pub.... I'm sure that's just a coincidence though, right?
