Secondhand WTF.

I have a friend who is a tour guide for the university we both attend. While I am currently unemployed, I don't particularly envy her job. The parents of incoming freshmen are just...bizarre at times.

For example. One of the things she does is run Q&A sessions after the tours. Recently, she got this question:

"Will there be bed checks and curfews?"

Sad to say, this'll be me some day. Even if it's a lie, I'd like a slow nod in my direction so I can pretend my little angels stay that way. I just... I'd rather not think about what they're getting up to. :P

This. :P Although, as a parent, I'd want to at least be sure my kids were being safe about it. In which case my version of the above would be, "I just want to make sure free condoms are provided in the health center or RAs' rooms."

My mother, until the day she died, was convinced that I bought a double bed for my dorm room because I got a good deal on it and not because my then-girlfriend (now-wife) and I were sleeping together in my single room. My father and her friends were all greatly amused but unable to convince her otherwise.
