Yeah, how dare the OP get angry at the mother's total lack of self-responsibility! She really needs to learn that children and their parents should NEVER be held responsible for their actions.
Seriously, though. There is NO excuse for that kind of shit. When I have children, they will take responsibility for their actions - as will I. If my kids were hanging off of a clothing rack and knocked it over, they would be expected to help clean it up and then get a good talking to about respecting the property of others.
I realize I'm going to have to put up with uppity mothers/fathers/etc...it's the not taking responsibility for the actions of themselves or their child(ren).
Ooookay....first off, at what point did the OP say she *was* a parent? Second, from the sounds of things, the OP sounds like the kind of person who would teach her kids well enough so that they'd take responsibility for their *own* actions (in much the same way as that poor older kid tried to) And third...from the tone of your posting, why do I get the impression you're wondering why the mother in the story was wearing shoes?
Yeah, my bad there--I caught up with that dink's posts in *other* places and realized I was at the chimpanzee cage--and me without my sheet of plastic to ward off thrown projectiles...
