Guess what I spent this afternoon doing?
Sheet mulch ftw. I think it needs some more of the woodchips on top, but theoretically by spring this will be a lovely gardenable plot. You can also see our new cherry tree in the midst of it, looking rather overwhelmed.
The butterfly bush really lives up to its name - hardly a day goes by that I don't see at least one, often more.
I realized I never took any pictures of the third variety of lily in the front garden, and now they're almost all past, but this one's hanging in there :)
This is actually from last month, when we went to the petting zoo/mini-amusement park. Free-roaming goats! Also, tiny demonic bunny at the edge of the frame...
He was so excited about these rides - he must have gone on this one half a dozen times. PS - it's a bee!
And we conclude with my son trying to eat his own foot:
We leave tomorrow on our travels, so internet access will be spotty at best over the next few weeks - we'll be with Steve's folks until Saturday, then Arthur and I are flying to NB until the end of the month. See some of you there! :)
