Weird trivia: the sequel, BEWARE! THE BLOB, was directed by... Larry Hagman!

Odd trivia: the original blob from 1958 scares the bejeebers out of me. The 1988 one? No problem.

They just screened the '88 BLOB in L.A. as a double feature with THE IN-CROWD, and Donovan Leitch showed up in person to introduce. That is a really nifty remake, with a nice new imagination of the creature and its properties, courtesy of Chuck Russell and Frank Darabont. And a kicker ending with the legendary Del Close.
