Muttons and thick meat

Julia: Now i half wish I have a blog.
Me: Hahaha, that's ok. I have one. I'll blog about it for you.

And thus begins the story. A short one. Reaaaaally short.
Anyways, Julia's learning Mandarin, or rather she already finished 10 9 of her classes and today I took the train back with her. (We've become new train buddies~) So, as usual we talked about almost everything under the sky but today it was mostly about her Mandarin or rather her rehearsing it. Or re-telling to me what she did in her last class. Throughout the ride, we talked about Mandarin, me the-girl-who-didnt-study-Mandarin-but-somehow-knows-how-to-converse-a-little-and-is-fansubbing-TW-dramas correcting some of her pronunciation. Haha. Anyways, what she would have blogged about is this...

Julia: What's friend again in Mandarin?
Me: "Pen you" (my han yu pin yin is out lar, k so whatever...)
Julia: Ah...Wei shi ma ni bu shi wo de pen rou? (Why are you not my "pen rou"?)
Me: ........Whaaaat? It's "pen you" lar~ What the heck is "pen rou"?
Julia: *bursts out laughing* I just called you mutton!!! *laughs somemore*
Me: And you asked me why I'm not your "pen you" huh? *walks faster to the ticket counter*
Julia: *laughs even more*

Now that I think about it, why was she even asking me why i was not her friend? O__o?
And later I asked my grandfather, "pen rou" is not even mutton! There's no such thing as "pen rou"...unless said in the right tone, it'd be thick meat. Julia, is that your way of saying I'm fat? =___=;;;

shige_ako: do u know more about "the cookie crumbles" by BIGMAMA? Shige recommended it, right? RADWIMPS is good too. Banzai to Shige for good music!
~The End~

I'm taking the train again with her tomorrow...oh goodness.

train rides with julia, college days are for 4 years only, hanging out brings a lot of laughs
